Peanut butter fudge

Ingredients (makes about 16 squares)

  • 1 cup (250g) creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups (240g) powdered sugar, sifted
  • Optional: pinch of salt, chocolate chips, or chopped peanuts for topping

Instructions

  1. Prepare your pan
    • Line an 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter and peanut butter
    • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
    • Add peanut butter and stir until smooth and combined.
  3. Add vanilla and sugar
    • Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla extract.
    • Gradually add powdered sugar, stirring until fully incorporated and smooth.
  4. Pour into pan
    • Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
    • Optional: sprinkle chocolate chips or chopped peanuts on top and press lightly.
  5. Chill
    • Refrigerate for at least 1–2 hours until firm.
  6. Cut and serve
    • Lift fudge from the pan using parchment paper. Cut into squares and enjoy!

💡 Tips:

  • For extra creamy fudge, you can microwave the peanut butter and butter together instead of stovetop.
  • For a chocolate swirl, melt 1/2 cup chocolate chips and drizzle on top before chilling.
