Chicken Parmesan Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Ingredients (Makes 2 sandwiches)

  • 2 cooked breaded chicken cutlets

  • 4 slices bread (sourdough, Italian, or thick white)
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Prepare chicken
    • Warm chicken cutlets and slice if thick.
    • Lightly warm marinara sauce.
  2. Assemble sandwiches
    • Butter one side of each bread slice.
    • Place bread butter-side down.
    • Layer mozzarella, chicken, marinara, Parmesan, and basil if using.
    • Top with second slice of bread, butter-side up.
  3. Grill
