Ingredients
- 2 cups chocolate chips (milk or semi-sweet)
- 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 2Β½ cups crispy rice cereal (or cornflakes)
- 2 tbsp butter (optional, for smoother chocolate)
- Pinch of salt (optional, balances sweetness)
Instructions
- Melt chocolate
- Melt chocolate chips (and butter if using) in the microwave in 20β30 second bursts, stirring each time, until smooth.
- Mix crunch
- Gently stir cereal into melted chocolate until evenly coated.
- Layer
- Line a small baking dish with parchment paper.
- Press half the chocolate-crunch mixture into the bottom.
- Add caramel
- Spread caramel evenly over the layer. Sprinkle a tiny pinch of salt if you like.
- Top layer
- Add remaining chocolate-crunch mixture and press gently.
- Chill
- Refrigerate for 1β2 hours until firm.
