Scrambled eggs

Simple? Fancy? Creamy? I got you 😄
Here’s a perfect, soft Southern-style scrambled eggs method that works every time.


Perfect Scrambled Eggs

Serves: 1–2

Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp milk or cream (optional but very Southern)
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Whisk eggs
    Crack eggs into a bowl. Add milk/cream, salt, and pepper. Whisk until fully blended and slightly frothy.
  2. Low & slow
    Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-low heat. Add butter and let it melt gently (no browning).
  3. Cook gently
    Pour in eggs. Let them sit for 10–15 seconds, then slowly stir with a spatula, scraping the bottom.
  4. Soft & creamy
    Keep stirring gently until eggs are just set but still glossy. Remove from heat before they look done—they’ll finish cooking on the plate.
  5. Serve immediately
    Fluffy, tender, and not dry. Ever.

Pro Tips

  • Low heat = creamy eggs. High heat = rubber.
  • Salt early for even seasoning.
  • Add-ins (cheese, herbs) go in at the end.

🧀 Cheddar, feta, or cream cheese
🌿 Chives or parsley
🥓 Bacon or sausage
