Garbage Bread 🥖🔥
(It’s basically a stuffed, rolled bread filled with “whatever’s in the fridge” — super popular at parties.)

Ingredients

Base

  • 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)

Fillings (mix & match)

  • Cooked sausage, pepperoni, bacon, or ham (chopped)
  • Shredded mozzarella or cheddar (about 1½–2 cups)
  • Cooked veggies: onions, peppers, mushrooms
  • Scrambled eggs or tater tots (popular breakfast version)
  • Salt & pepper

Optional

  • Pizza sauce or ranch (for dipping)
  • Italian seasoning or red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F / 190°C.
  2. Roll pizza dough into a large rectangle on a floured surface.
  3. Spread fillings evenly, leaving a 1-inch border.
  4. Add cheese last.
  5. Roll the dough up tightly (like a jelly roll).
  6. Pinch seams and ends closed; place seam-side down on a baking sheet.
  7. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle garlic powder or seasoning.
  8. Bake 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Rest 5 minutes, slice, and serve.

Popular Variations

  • Pizza Garbage Bread: pepperoni, mozzarella, marinara
  • Breakfast Garbage Bread: eggs, sausage, cheese, hash browns
  • Buffalo Chicken: chicken, buffalo sauce, mozzarella
  • Cheeseburger: ground beef, cheddar, pickles (dip in ketchup)

Tips

  • Don’t overfill or it may burst
  • Pre-cook meats and veggies
  • Use parchment paper for easy cleanup

If you want, I can make a 3-ingredient version, air fryer version, or one perfect for game night 😄
