Strawberry cheesecake dump cake

Posted on February 23, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a super easy, indulgent Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake recipe—basically a “throw-it-all-together” dessert that looks fancy but is lazy-cook friendly:

Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow or white cake mix (about 15–16 oz)
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 (16 oz) jar strawberry pie filling (or fresh strawberries with sugar, optional)
  • 1/2 cup butter, sliced thin

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven:
    • 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Make cheesecake layer:
    • Beat cream cheese, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
    • Spread this mixture evenly in the bottom of the baking dish.
  3. Add strawberries:
    • Spoon strawberry pie filling evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  4. Dump the cake mix:
    • Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the strawberries.
  5. Top with butter:
    • Place thin slices of butter over the dry cake mix. Don’t melt it; the butter will melt during baking to make it moist and golden.
  6. Bake:
    • 45–50 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  7. Cool & serve:
    • Let it cool slightly, then slice. Optional: serve with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

💡 Tips:

  • You can swap strawberry pie filling with fresh strawberries and a little sugar mixed with cornstarch for a more homemade taste.
  • For extra crunch, sprinkle chopped nuts (like pecans) on top before baking.

If you want, I can give a mini-version for a small family or 2 people that bakes in just one round pan—still gooey and decadent. Do you want me to do that?
