Air fryer potato wedges

Posted on February 25, 2026 by Admin

Oh yes—air fryer potato wedges are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and way easier than deep-frying! 🥔✨ Here’s a simple recipe:

Air Fryer Potato Wedges

Ingredients (serves 2–4):

  • 3–4 medium russet or Yukon gold potatoes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika (smoked or regular)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prep the potatoes:
    • Wash and scrub potatoes. Cut into wedges (about 8 wedges per potato).
    • Optional: soak in cold water for 20–30 minutes for extra crispiness. Drain and pat dry.
  2. Season:
    • Toss wedges in olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Preheat air fryer:
    • Preheat to 200°C / 400°F for 3–5 minutes.
  4. Cook:
    • Place wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket (cook in batches if needed).
    • Air fry 15–20 minutes, shaking basket halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Serve:
    • Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot with ketchup, aioli, or your favorite dipping sauce.

Pro tips:

  • Don’t overcrowd the basket—air circulation is key for crispiness.
  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of chili powder, cumin, or Parmesan before air frying.
  • Soaking in water removes excess starch and gives a crunchier exterior.

I can also give a cheesy garlic air fryer potato wedges version that’s loaded with flavor. Do you want that recipe?
