Boiled egg

Posted on February 25, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a simple guide for making perfect boiled eggs—whether you want soft, medium, or hard yolks! 🥚✨

Boiled Eggs

Ingredients:

  • Eggs (as many as you like)
  • Water
  • Ice (for ice bath)

Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a pot:
    • Arrange eggs in a single layer.
    • Cover with cold water about 1 inch above the eggs.
  2. Bring to a boil:
    • Heat over medium-high until water reaches a rolling boil.
  3. Cook depending on yolk preference:
    • Soft-boiled: 4–6 minutes (yolk runny)
    • Medium-boiled: 7–9 minutes (slightly creamy yolk)
    • Hard-boiled: 10–12 minutes (fully set yolk)
  4. Ice bath:
    • Transfer eggs immediately to a bowl of ice water for 5–10 minutes to stop cooking and make peeling easier.
  5. Peel and serve:
    • Tap eggs gently, roll to crack the shell, and peel under running water if needed.

Pro tips:

  • Use eggs that are slightly older (7–10 days) for easier peeling.
  • Store unpeeled boiled eggs in the fridge up to 1 week.
  • For extra flavor, you can marinate peeled eggs in soy sauce, vinegar, or spices for a few hours.

I can also give a pressure cooker or Instant Pot method for perfectly peeled boiled eggs every time. Do you want that version?
