Marinated grilled shrimp

Posted on February 26, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a quick and flavorful Marinated Grilled Shrimp recipe—juicy, smoky, and perfect for summer dinners or appetizers. 🍤🔥

Marinated Grilled Shrimp

Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (or lime juice)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional, for heat)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or cilantro (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Marinade:
In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, paprika, chili flakes, salt, and pepper.
  2. Marinate Shrimp:
Toss shrimp in the marinade, cover, and refrigerate 20–30 minutes (don’t exceed 1 hour or the acid will start “cooking” the shrimp).
  3. Preheat Grill:
Heat grill or grill pan to medium-high. Lightly oil grates to prevent sticking.
  4. Grill Shrimp:
Thread shrimp onto skewers (optional) or grill directly. Cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink, opaque, and slightly charred.
  5. Serve:
Sprinkle with fresh parsley or cilantro. Serve with rice, salad, or in tacos, wraps, or skewers.

💡 Tips:

  • Don’t overcook shrimp—they turn rubbery quickly.
  • For extra flavor, add a splash of soy sauce or honey to the marinade.
  • Can also broil shrimp in the oven for 4–6 minutes if you don’t have a grill.

If you want, I can also give a zesty garlic-lime shrimp marinade that’s perfect for quick 15-minute grilled shrimp—super flavorful and tangy. Do you want that version?
