Chicken parmesan

Here’s a classic Chicken Parmesan that’s crispy, cheesy, and comforting 🍗🧀

Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts (halved lengthwise)
  • Salt & black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (Italian-style or panko)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Olive oil (for frying)
  • 1½ cups marinara sauce
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil or parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Set up dredging stations:
    flour → eggs → breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan.
  4. Coat chicken in flour, dip in egg, then press into breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
    Pan-fry chicken 2–3 minutes per side until golden (not fully cooked).
  6. Place chicken in a baking dish. Spoon marinara over each piece.
  7. Top with mozzarella.
  8. Bake 15–20 minutes, until chicken is cooked through and cheese is bubbly.
  9. Garnish with basil or parsley and serve.

  • Spaghetti or fettuccine
  • Garlic bread
  • Caesar salad or roasted veggies

Tips

  • For extra crispiness, toast breadcrumbs lightly before coating.
  • Want less oil? Bake or air-fry instead of pan-frying.
  • Add a slice of provolone for extra cheesiness.
