Ah, Baileys Irish Cream ☘️🍫🥛—that smooth, creamy, slightly boozy liqueur that’s perfect in coffee, desserts, or sipping on its own. I can give you a homemade version that tastes surprisingly close to the real thing.


Homemade Baileys Irish Cream

Ingredients (Makes ~2 cups)

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp instant coffee or espresso powder
  • 1 tsp chocolate syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup Irish whiskey
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

  1. Combine cream & flavorings
    • In a blender or bowl, mix heavy cream, instant coffee, chocolate syrup, and vanilla until smooth.
  2. Add whiskey & condensed milk
    • Blend again until fully combined.
  3. Bottle & chill
    • Pour into a clean glass bottle or jar.
    • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before using.
  4. Serve
    • Shake gently before using. Great in coffee, over ice, or in desserts like cheesecake, brownies, or tiramisu.

Tips

  • Shelf life: About 2 weeks in the fridge.
  • Use stronger coffee for more of a mocha flavor.
  • Can adjust sweetness by reducing or increasing the sweetened condensed milk.
