  • 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (or regular paprika)
  • ½ tsp dried thyme or rosemary (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1 tbsp butter for extra richness

Instructions

1. Preheat oven

  • 400°F (200°C).
  • Lightly grease a baking dish or line with foil.

2. Season the pork chops

  • Pat pork chops dry with paper towels.
  • Rub with olive oil.
  • Mix garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper; sprinkle evenly over both sides.

3. Bake

  • Place pork chops in the baking dish.
  • Bake 20–25 minutes for 1-inch thick chops (internal temperature 145°F / 63°C).
  • Optional: In the last 2–3 minutes, add a small pat of butter on top for extra flavor.

4. Rest

  • Let pork chops rest 3–5 minutes before serving to keep them juicy.
