Baked potato

Here’s a simple way to make a perfect baked potato 🥔✨


Ingredients

  • 1 large russet potato (per person)
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Optional toppings: butter, sour cream, shredded cheese, chives, bacon bits

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Wash and dry the potato. Prick it several times with a fork.
  3. Rub the potato with a little olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
  4. Place directly on the oven rack or on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake 45–60 minutes, until the skin is crisp and a fork easily pierces the potato.
  6. Slice open, fluff the inside with a fork, and add your favorite toppings.

Tips

  • Crispier skin: Bake directly on the oven rack.
  • Faster cooking: Microwave for 5–8 minutes first, then finish in the oven for crispiness.
  • Loaded potato ideas: Cheese & bacon, chili & cheese, broccoli & cheddar, or sour cream & chives.
