Here’s a simple, classic way to make a baked potato 🥔

Oven-Baked Potato

Ingredients

  • 1 large potato (russet works best)
  • Olive oil (optional)
  • Salt

Steps

  1. Heat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Scrub the potato clean and pat dry.
  3. Poke it 4–6 times with a fork (important so it doesn’t burst).
  4. Rub lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with salt (optional but tasty).
  5. Place directly on the oven rack or on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake 45–60 minutes, until the skin is crispy and a fork goes in easily.

Quick Microwave Version

  1. Wash and fork-poke the potato.
  2. Microwave on high 5 minutes, flip, then 3–5 more minutes until soft.
    (Skin won’t be crispy, but it’s fast.)

  • Cheese
  • Beans
  • Broccoli
