Ah, baked sausage 🌭🔥—simple, hands-off, and full of flavor. Baking sausage keeps it juicy without needing to fry, and it pairs perfectly with veggies, pasta, or on its own.


Baked Sausage

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 1 lb sausages (pork, chicken, or your favorite type)
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil (optional, for extra browning)
  • Optional: sliced onions, bell peppers, or potatoes for a sheet-pan meal

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    • 400°F (200°C)
  2. Prepare the sausages
    • Place sausages on a baking sheet.
    • Optional: toss with olive oil or veggies.
  3. Bake
    • Bake 20–25 minutes, turning once halfway through, until sausages are cooked through (internal temp 160°F / 71°C for pork or 165°F / 74°C for chicken).
  4. Serve
    • Slice or serve whole with mustard, bread, or roasted veggies.

Tips

  • For extra flavor, poke a few tiny holes in the sausages so fat escapes, but don’t overdo it—keeps them juicy.
  • Use a rimmed baking sheet to catch any drippings if adding veggies.
  • For a crispy skin, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end.
