👩🍳 How to Boil Eggs Perfectly
1️⃣ Place Eggs in Pot
Arrange in a single layer. Cover with about 1 inch of cold water.
2️⃣ Bring to a Boil
Heat uncovered on high until water reaches a rolling boil.
3️⃣ Turn Off Heat & Cover
Remove from heat, cover, and let sit:
- Soft-boiled: 4–6 minutes (runny yolk)
- Medium: 7–9 minutes (slightly creamy center)
- Hard-boiled: 10–12 minutes (fully set)
4️⃣ Ice Bath
Transfer immediately to an ice bath for 5–10 minutes. This stops cooking and makes peeling easier.
💡 Tips
- Slightly older eggs peel easier than very fresh ones.
- Gently crack and peel under running water for best results.
- Store peeled eggs in the fridge up to 3 days; unpeeled up to 1 week.
