Instructions
- Preheat oven: 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Make batter: Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in vanilla and eggs.
- Add dry ingredients: Mix in flour and salt until just combined.
- Layer:
- Spread ¾ of the batter into the baking dish.
- Spoon cherry pie filling evenly over batter.
- Drop remaining batter in small dollops over cherries.
