🍗 Crispy Chicken Fillet (Restaurant-Style)

Here’s a simple, super crispy chicken fillet recipe you can make at home.

🛒 Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breast fillets
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch (for extra crispiness)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp chili powder (optional)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1–2 cups breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)
  • Oil for deep frying

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prep the Chicken

  • Slice chicken breasts into fillet-sized pieces if needed.
  • Lightly pound to even thickness (about ½ inch).
  • Pat dry.

2️⃣ Set Up Coating Stations

  • Bowl 1: Flour + cornstarch + all dry spices.
  • Bowl 2: Beat eggs + milk.
  • Bowl 3: Breadcrumbs.

3️⃣ Coat the Chicken

  1. Dredge in flour mixture.
  2. Dip in egg mixture.
  3. Coat well in breadcrumbs (press firmly).

💡 For extra crunch: Dip back into egg and breadcrumbs again (double coating).

4️⃣ Fry

  • Heat oil to 170–180°C (340–350°F).
  • Fry 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Internal temp should reach 75°C (165°F).
  • Drain on paper towels.

🔥 Pro Tips

  • Add a tablespoon of hot sauce to the egg mix for flavor.
  • Let coated chicken rest 10 minutes before frying (helps coating stick).
  • Don’t overcrowd the pan.

  • In burgers or sandwiches
