Garlic Butter Steak & Shrimp Pasta
Ingredients
Protein
- 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-size pieces
- ½ lb shrimp, peeled & deveined
- Salt & pepper
- 1 tsp paprika or Cajun seasoning (optional)
Pasta
- 12 oz pasta (fettuccine, penne, or linguine)
- Salt for pasta water
Sauce
- 4 tbsp butter
- 4–5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
- Optional: red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Cook pasta
Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain. - Season proteins
Season steak and shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika/Cajun seasoning. - Cook steak
Heat 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak pieces 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside. - Cook shrimp
In the same pan, add shrimp and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside. - Make garlic butter sauce
Lower heat to medium. Add remaining butter and garlic. Cook about 30 seconds (don’t burn).
Stir in cream, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Simmer 3–5 minutes. - Add cheese & combine
Stir in Parmesan until smooth. Add pasta, steak, and shrimp. Toss everything together.
Use reserved pasta water if sauce needs thinning. - Serve
Taste and adjust seasoning. Top with extra Parmesan if you like.

- Lighter option: Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream
- Extra flavor: Add a splash of lemon juice at the end
