Garlic mushrooms

Posted on December 30, 2025 by Admin

Hereโ€™s a simple and tasty recipe for Garlic Mushrooms โ€” perfect as a side dish, appetizer, or topping for steak, pasta, or toast. ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿง„

๐Ÿ›’ Ingredients (Serves 2โ€“4)

  • 10โ€“12 oz (300โ€“350โ€ฏg) mushrooms (button or cremini), cleaned and sliced
  • 2โ€“3 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 3โ€“4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1โ€“2 tsp fresh thyme or parsley (optional)
  • Optional: a splash of white wine or lemon juice

๐Ÿณ Instructions

1. Cook the Mushrooms

  1. Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add mushrooms in a single layer (donโ€™t overcrowd the pan).
  3. Cook 5โ€“7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown.

2. Add Garlic and Seasoning

  1. Add minced garlic and cook 1โ€“2 minutes, until fragrant.
  2. Season with salt, pepper, and fresh herbs.
  3. Optional: add a splash of white wine or a squeeze of lemon juice for extra flavor.

3. Serve

  • Serve hot as a side, on toast, in pasta, or over grilled meats.

๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Tips

  • Donโ€™t wash mushrooms under running water; wipe with a damp cloth to avoid sogginess.
  • High heat is key for caramelizing mushrooms without making them watery.
  • You can add a dollop of cream or Parmesan for a richer version.

I can also give a garlic butter mushroom version thatโ€™s extra indulgent and perfect for steak night. Do you want that?
