Got it! Here’s a ground beef wonton recipe—simple and tasty 🥟

🥟 Ground Beef Wontons (Makes ~30)

Ingredients

Filling

  • 200 g (7 oz) ground beef
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger (optional but recommended)
  • 1½ tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1–2 tbsp water (keeps filling juicy)

Wrappers

  • 30 wonton wrappers
  • Water for sealing

Instructions

1. Make the filling

Mix all filling ingredients in a bowl until well combined and slightly sticky.

2. Fill & fold

  • Place 1 teaspoon filling in the center of each wrapper
  • Wet edges with water
  • Fold into a triangle and press to seal
  • Bring the two corners together and pinch (classic wonton shape)

3. Cook (choose one)

Boiled (best for soup):

  • Boil gently for 4–5 minutes until wontons float and beef is cooked

Pan-fried:

  • Fry in a little oil until bottoms are golden
  • Add a splash of water, cover, steam 2–3 minutes

Deep-fried:

  • Fry at 175°C / 350°F until golden and crispy

Quick Wonton Soup

  • Chicken or beef broth
  • Splash of soy sauce
  • Few drops sesame oil
  • Add cooked wontons and green onions

Tips

  • Beef works best if it’s not too lean (80/20 is ideal)
  • Freeze uncooked wontons for later
  • Add chili oil or vinegar for dipping (optional)
