Here’s a simple and tasty Ham and Cheese Sticks recipe 🧀🥖
Perfect as a snack, appetizer, or lunchbox treat.


Ham and Cheese Sticks

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (store-bought or homemade), thawed
  • 4–6 slices ham
  • 4–6 slices cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or your choice)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Optional: sesame seeds or poppy seeds

Instructions

  1. Prep
    • Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C).
    • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Assemble
    • Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
    • Cut into strips about 1–1.5 inches wide.
    • Place a piece of ham and cheese on each strip.
    • Fold pastry over or roll around the filling, pinching edges to seal.
  3. Egg wash
    • Brush tops with beaten egg.
    • Sprinkle with seeds if desired.
  4. Bake
    • Bake 12–15 minutes, until golden brown and puffed.
  5. Serve
    • Let cool slightly and serve warm.

Tips

  • Use thin ham slices for easy rolling.
  • Can freeze assembled sticks before baking—bake straight from frozen (add 3–4 minutes).
  • Add a little mustard or garlic powder for extra flavor.
