Honey Garlic Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Honey Garlic Sauce

  • ¼ cup honey
  • 3–4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or rice vinegar)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tsp water (optional, for thickening)

Instructions

  1. Prep chicken
    Season chicken with salt and pepper.
  2. Cook chicken
    • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Cook chicken 5–7 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove from pan and set aside.
  3. Make sauce
    • In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté 30 seconds until fragrant.
    • Stir in honey, soy sauce, and vinegar. Simmer 1–2 minutes.
    • If you want thicker sauce, stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until glossy.
  4. Combine
    • Return chicken to the skillet. Toss to coat evenly with sauce.
    • Cook 1–2 more minutes so chicken absorbs the flavors.

Serving Suggestions

  • Over steamed rice or noodles
  • With stir-fried vegetables
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions

  • Use boneless, skinless chicken thighs for juicier results.
  • For extra sticky honey garlic, reduce sauce slightly before adding chicken.
