Meatloaf

Here’s a juicy, classic Meatloaf you can rely on every time 🥩

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 works best)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs or crushed crackers
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Topping

  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp mustard (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs and milk; let soak 1–2 minutes.
  3. Add ground beef, onion, egg, seasonings, and Worcestershire sauce.
    Mix gently—don’t overmix.
  4. Shape into a loaf and place in a greased loaf pan or on a lined baking sheet.
  5. Mix topping ingredients and spread evenly over the meatloaf.
  6. Bake 55–60 minutes, until fully cooked.
  7. Let rest 5–10 minutes before slicing.

Helpful Tips

  • Extra moist: Add 2 tbsp ketchup or milk to the meat mixture.
  • Flavor boost: Mix in ½ cup shredded cheese.
  • Lean meat? Add 1 extra tablespoon oil or milk.
  • Sides: Mashed potatoes, green beans, or corn.
