Pecan Pie Bars Recipe

Ingredients:

For the crust:

  • 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup (50g) granulated sugar
  • Pinch of salt

For the filling:

  • 1 cup (120g) chopped pecans
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup (120ml) corn syrup (or maple syrup for a twist)
  • ½ cup (100g) brown sugar
  • ¼ cup (60g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven: 175°C / 350°F. Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment.
  2. Make the crust:
    • Mix flour, sugar, salt, and melted butter until combined.
    • Press evenly into the bottom of the pan.
    • Bake 10–12 min until lightly golden.
  3. Prepare the filling:
    • Whisk eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
    • Stir in chopped pecans.
  4. Assemble & bake:
    • Pour filling over the baked crust.
    • Bake 25–30 min until set and slightly puffed.
    • Cool completely in the pan.
  5. Cut & serve:
    • Slice into bars. Store in an airtight container at room temp for up to 4 days.

Optional upgrade: Drizzle with chocolate before cutting for an extra decadent touch 🍫.
