Simple? Fancy? Creamy? I got you 😄
Here’s a perfect, soft Southern-style scrambled eggs method that works every time.
Perfect Scrambled Eggs
Serves: 1–2
Ingredients
- 4 large eggs
- 2 tbsp milk or cream (optional but very Southern)
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Whisk eggs
Crack eggs into a bowl. Add milk/cream, salt, and pepper. Whisk until fully blended and slightly frothy. - Low & slow
Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-low heat. Add butter and let it melt gently (no browning). - Cook gently
Pour in eggs. Let them sit for 10–15 seconds, then slowly stir with a spatula, scraping the bottom. - Soft & creamy
Keep stirring gently until eggs are just set but still glossy. Remove from heat before they look done—they’ll finish cooking on the plate. - Serve immediately
Fluffy, tender, and not dry. Ever.
Pro Tips
- Low heat = creamy eggs. High heat = rubber.
- Salt early for even seasoning.
- Add-ins (cheese, herbs) go in at the end.
Optional Add-Ins
🧀 Cheddar, feta, or cream cheese
🌿 Chives or parsley
🥓 Bacon or sausage
