  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 4–6 burger buns

Instructions

  1. Cook the meat and veggies:

    • Drain excess fat.
    • Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook for 3–4 minutes until softened.
  2. Make the sauce:
    • Stir in ketchup, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and mustard.
    • Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
    • Taste and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Assemble the sandwiches:
    • Spoon the sloppy joe mixture onto the bottom half of the buns.
