Here’s a fresh, simple tomato salad 🍅

Classic Tomato Salad

Ingredients

  • Ripe tomatoes (any mix), sliced or chopped
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper
  • Fresh basil or parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Put the tomatoes in a bowl.
  2. Drizzle with olive oil.
  3. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Gently toss and finish with fresh herbs.

Easy Variations

  • Mediterranean: Add sliced red onion, cucumber, and feta.
  • Italian-style: Add mozzarella and a splash of balsamic vinegar or glaze.
  • Simple crunch: Add thinly sliced shallots or spring onions.
  • Garlic lovers: Rub the bowl with a cut garlic clove before adding tomatoes.

Best served right away, or let it sit 5–10 minutes so the juices come out and make a natural dressing.
